I am a candidate for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4,  Brazos County. My candidacy is prompted for this office because of my passion and compassion for the people.  My decision is not sudden nor one undertaken recklessly.  MY vision, fresh new ideas, goals and  maturity, combined with YOUR desire for change is the winning combination that will bring the new level of judicial competence and professionalism this office requires and deserves. I am a sincere candidate with the ambition, energy and commitment to serve and welcome the opportunity to execute the rule of law fairly with integrity, honesty and truth in service to our Precinct community and the County at large.
   



I have enjoyed many years of my Professional career in an Administrative/Managerial capacity providing  Public Services to the people of Brazos County, however I highlight those areas that prove me qualified to serve YOU [the people} and the office of Justice of the Peace.
       Social Worker for many years (Managerial)
       Executive Director of Brazos County Legal Aid (Administrative) for 13 yrs. (My present position)
       Certified Basic and Family Mediator
       Licensed Notary Public
       Trained in Conflict-Resolution
       Served on the Advisory Committee of the Legal Assistant Program (**Program ended some yrs. ago.)
       Active Member of North Bryan New Birth Church
    Supporter of: Habitat for Humanity;  Hope Pregnacy Center; United Way;  Salvation Army
    Women's Auxillary (Member); Founder of Heart2Heart Women's Mentoring Ministry 

I have the passion, ability, training, and experience to serve, therefore I will always:
Honor the office of Justice of the Peace with the highest personal and professional integrity.
Work to restore trustworthiness, professionalism, respect, integrity, honesty, and fairness to our court.
       Make sound equitable decisions in accordance with the law, paying close attention to content and              detail without compromise due to emotion or personal opinion.
Communicate effectively with Precinct, County, City and State official constituents and litigants.
Recruit, make available adequate training and work in harmony with all personnel for quality                      operations of the Precinct.
       Administer the annual budget with reliable fiscal responsibility and honorable accounting practices.
       Operate effectively software programs required to maintain up-to-date information for the courts.
       Represent and facilitate meetings and public requests to share information that will keep the Precinct              informed and knowledgeable.
    
**  I am not campaigning against anyone, but rather campaigning for the office of JP and the opportunity to serve the people. My qualifications and experience afford me the privilege to fill this office and I will give  the very best representation possible.
